Our client is seeking a skilled Project Manager with a background in engineering services to oversee diverse projects in Upington, Northern Cape. You will be responsible for managing projects from conception through to successful completion, ensuring adherence to technical specifications, safety standards, and budgetary constraints. This role requires strong technical acumen combined with excellent project management capabilities. The hybrid work arrangement allows for effective management of both on-site technical operations and strategic planning.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of engineering projects, including planning, design, procurement, execution, and closeout.
- Coordinate with engineering teams, contractors, and clients to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
- Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation effectively.
- Oversee technical aspects of projects, ensuring quality, compliance, and safety standards are met.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues, implementing timely corrective actions.
- Prepare and present regular project status reports, financial summaries, and performance metrics to stakeholders.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in project management within an engineering services or related technical field.
- Strong understanding of engineering principles, project methodologies, and technical project execution.
- Proven experience in managing project budgets, contracts, and resource allocation.
- Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, managing both technical teams and project documentation.
- Relevant engineering degree or PMP certification is highly desirable.
