Our client is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer specializing in Water Resources Management to join their forward-thinking team in Upington . This role involves tackling complex challenges related to water supply, flood control, and sustainable water resource utilization in a region often defined by its arid conditions. You will contribute to crucial projects focused on water infrastructure development, conservation, and management.

- Develop and implement strategies for sustainable water resources management , including supply and demand planning.
- Design and oversee the construction of water infrastructure such as dams, canals, pipelines, and water treatment facilities.
- Conduct hydrological and hydraulic modeling to assess water availability, flood risks, and environmental flows.
- Prepare feasibility studies, environmental impact assessments, and technical reports for water-related projects.
- Collaborate with government agencies, agricultural stakeholders, and community groups on water management initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with water quality standards, environmental legislation, and relevant engineering codes.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Water Resources or Hydrology.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in water resources engineering and management.
- Professional Engineer (Pr Eng) registration with ECSA is required.
- Proficiency in hydrological and hydraulic modeling software (e.g., HEC-RAS, EPANET, MIKE suite).
- Strong understanding of water resource policy, legislation, and sustainable practices.
- Excellent project management, analytical, and communication skills.
