Renewable Energy Engineer

• Design and engineer renewable energy systems, focusing on solar photovoltaic (PV) power plants.
• Perform site assessments, energy yield analysis, and technical feasibility studies for new projects.
• Specify electrical components, including PV modules, inverters, batteries, and grid connection equipment.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant electrical codes, standards, and regulatory requirements for renewable energy installations.
• Collaborate with project managers, construction teams, and external stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
• Monitor the performance of existing renewable energy installations and identify opportunities for optimization.

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in the renewable energy sector, with a focus on solar PV.
• Strong knowledge of power electronics, grid integration, and energy storage systems.
• Familiarity with solar design software (e.g., PVSyst, Helioscope) and electrical design tools.
• Understanding of South African electrical standards and grid codes relevant to renewables.
