Chemical Process Engineer

Our client seeks a dedicated Chemical Process Engineer to join their innovative team based in Cape Town . This role is crucial for optimizing existing chemical production processes and contributing to the design of new ones. • Analyze process data to identify inefficiencies and opportunities for optimization in chemical manufacturing .
• Develop and test new process designs and modifications, ensuring scalability and economic viability.
• Implement and monitor process control strategies to maintain optimal operating conditions.
• Prepare technical reports, process flow diagrams, and equipment specifications.
• Ensure adherence to all safety, health, and environmental regulations within the plant operations.
• Support plant operations by troubleshooting process upsets and providing timely technical assistance.

• Degree in Chemical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• 2-5 years of relevant experience in process engineering, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with process simulation software and statistical process control (SPC).
• Good understanding of unit operations and chemical principles.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
