Prepare and implement electrical engineering designs for renewable energy and infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with technical specifications, relevant legislation and applicable engineering standards.
Key responsibilities- Prepare conceptual and detailed electrical designs for renewable energy projects.
- Develop medium-voltage collector-system designs, including underground cables and overhead lines.
- Assist with IPP substation primary plant designs.
- Perform earthing analysis using engineering software.
- Prepare single-line diagrams, schematics, equipment layouts and technical drawings.
- Produce calculations and engineering reports.
- Coordinate designs with project engineers and site teams.
- Provide engineering support during construction and commissioning.
- Electrical Engineering degree or diploma exact qualification level to confirm.
- Exposure to power distribution or renewable energy projects.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and electrical calculations.
- Familiarity with electrical CAD/design software.
- Knowledge of relevant SANS and IEC standards.
- Strong analytical and technical documentation skills.
