SPA RESERVATIONIST (BACK-UP SPA THERAPIST)

TOKAI, Cape Town South (SOUTHERN SUBURBS), Western Cape (ZA)

START: ASAP / 01 March 2026

TRADING HOURS & SHIFTS

  • Monday – Sunday
  • Shifts (Open / Close - rotate)
  • 08:00am - 17:00pm / 10:00am - 19:00pm
  • 1x Weekend off per month + days off in the week

REPORT TO: SPA Director

EMPLOYMENT: Permanent / Full-Time

SALARY & COMPANY BENEFITS

  • R11,000 Basic Salary per month
  • Services Commission (on any therapies performed by you)

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • South African citizen OR permitted for employment
  • Certified / Diploma in Beauty Specialist / Health & Skin Care / Beauty Therapy / Somatology / Cosmetology
  • SAAHSP / ITEC / CIDESCO / CIBTAC accredited qualification
  • Reliable transport within the Southern Suburbs
  • Computer confident - making bookings, responding to emails and doing general admin
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Confident using SPA Software systems for bookings, cash-up, reporting, etc (ESP / Headstart / Silver Spa or similar)
  • Professional telephone etiquette - clear, confident, speaking
  • Excellent guest communication and command of English
  • Beautifully groomed and highly presentable
  • Demonstrated ability to manage guest communication across multiple channels (phone, email, and in person).
  • At least ONE full year experience on the front desk performing reception duties of a luxury SPA (Hotel, Ship or Resort)
  • At least TWO years experience performing SPA therapies in an established SPA
  • Confident in both Administration & Therapies - this is a dual role with primary function of Reception.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritise in a high-volume environment.
  • Accurate handling of bookings, payments, and scheduling adjustments.
  • Calm, courteous, and solutions-driven when handling guest requests or challenges.
  • Sales-oriented with an understanding of upselling spa services and retail add-ons.
  • PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES:

    • Team player who collaborates easily with therapists and management.
    • Dependable, punctual, and maintains professionalism under pressure.
    • Flexible to work weekends, public holidays, shifts as required and extended hours during peak season
