Backstage Technician

Responsibilities:

• Set up and maintain all technical equipment and props for performances and events onboard a cruise ship
• Assist performers and production team with any technical needs during rehearsals and shows
• Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues that may arise during performances
• Ensure all equipment is properly stored and maintained
• Assist with the load-in and load-out of equipment and props at each port of call
• Collaborate with other technicians and crew members to ensure the success of each production
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment at all times
• Attend all safety and technical trainings as required

• Minimum of 2 years experience as a Backstage Technician in a live performance or event setting
• Strong knowledge of technical equipment, including lighting, sound, and rigging
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
• Ability to work well as part of a team
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Must be physically able to lift and move heavy equipment
• Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures
• Experience working on a cruise ship is a plus
