Sound Technician

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate sound equipment for live performances and events On Board Cruise Ship
• Conduct sound checks and make necessary adjustments to ensure optimal sound quality
• Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues with sound equipment during performances
• Collaborate with performers and other crew members to ensure a seamless and successful show
• Maintain and repair sound equipment as needed
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in sound technology
• Train and supervise other crew members in sound operation
• Follow all safety protocols and regulations while operating sound equipment
• Assist with other technical aspects of performances and events as needed

• High school diploma, Sound tech degree or equivalent
• Minimum of 2 years experience as a Sound Technician, preferably in a live performance setting
• Proficiency in operating and troubleshooting a variety of sound equipment, including mixers, microphones, speakers, and amplifiers
• Strong knowledge of sound engineering principles and techniques
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
• Attention to detail and ability to multitask
• Basic knowledge of electrical systems and wiring is a plus
