TB HIV Care (THC), in existence since 1929, is an internationally recognised non-profit organisation. Purpose of the position
The successful applicant will perform project bookkeeping as well as reporting and administration duties.
Minimum Requirements Grade 12Certificate/diploma in bookkeeping and or financial administrationThree (3) years relevant experience within a financial environmentWorking knowledge of Pastel accounting & fully conversant with ExcelClear criminal recordDuties and Responsibilities
Perform general project bookkeeping, including cashbook processing and journalsPrepare bank reconciliationsReconcile accounts and rectify incorrect entriesEnsure accuracy and completeness of project revenue and expenses under their controlAd hoc invoicing of partners for services renderedCapture petty-cash transactions to ledger and review data for accuracy and completenessAssist the Project accountant with creditor paymentsPrepare schedules and make payment of Employees tax and UIFLiaise with creditors regarding errors credits and any other issues regarding creditor accountsSubmit drawdowns for salaries and expensesAssist with cash-flow managementPrepare monthly expense claims for submission to fundersReconcile funders’ claims against budgetPrepare ad hoc reports, reconciliations and analysis as requiredAssist with the preparation and execution of the annual auditCompile analyses of sub-contractors on a monthly basisSkills and Competencies
