Fund Operations Finance Associate

An established financial services business is looking to appoint a Fund Operations Finance Associate into its operations team based in Cape Town. This role is ideally suited to a newly qualified CA(SA) seeking exposure to fund operations, financial oversight, and analytical work within a structured and fast-paced environment.

• You will join a collaborative operations function that plays a critical role in supporting investor activity and ensuring robust financial processes. The team offers exposure across finance, operations, and stakeholder engagement, with opportunities to develop strong commercial insight while working closely with multiple internal and external partners

• Overseeing finance-related activities performed by third-party service providers, including bank reconciliations, investor and broker payments, taxation processes, and commissions and rebates
• Reviewing and resolving reconciling items on bank accounts and monitoring overdraft positions
• Managing relationships with banking partners and attending to finance- and tax-related queries
• Performing analytical reviews and trend analysis on client and broker data
• Conducting data analysis to investigate operational issues and support decision-making
• Identifying key financial and operational risks and ensuring appropriate controls are in place
• Building strong working relationships with internal teams such as Tax, Compliance, and Operations
• Participating in finance, banking, tax, and regulatory-related projects
• Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency through process optimisation and automation
• Using data and technology tools (e.g. SQL, Python, advanced Excel, Power BI or similar) to support reporting and scalable solutions
