Junior Acounting Consultant

Outsourced CFO is looking for a driven and detail-oriented Junior Accounting Consultant to join our team. In this role, you won't just be crunching numbers; you will be a vital part of our client service engine. You will handle everything from day-to-day processing and SARS compliance to the compilation of management reports and financial statements.

This is a "bridge" role designed for someone who has completed their articles and is ready to take on more responsibility, including mentoring junior trainees, while still working under the guidance of our experienced POD Leaders.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Management & Reporting

• Process bank statements, supplier bills, customer invoices, and fixed assets.
• Manage SARS compliance, including VAT reconciliations, provisional tax, and Income Tax submissions.
• Compile accurate monthly Management Reports and Annual Financial Statements.
• Assist with the preparation of working papers for independent review engagements.

Payroll & Secretarial

• Process payroll, reconciliations, and handle EMP
  201, EMP
  501, and COIDA/WCA submissions.
• Manage annual returns, changes in directorship, and the preparation of minutes/resolutions.

Client & Team Development

• Engage with clients to build lasting relationships and assist with budget preparation.
• Provide on-the-job training for trainees and present cloud accounting updates to the wider team.
• Ensure all projects are rolled out monthly and tasks are signed off daily.

• Completed SAIPA/SAICA/CIMA articles
• Must be a registered SAIPA, AGA(SA), or CIMA member
• Minimum 3 years working experience in an accounting environment
• Familiarity with cloud accounting software and a commitment to keeping up with industry trends
• A proactive problem solver who doesn't just spot a mistake but finds the solution
• A team player who thrives in a collaborative environment and is happy to "jump in" when others need help
• A dependable professional with excellent time management skills (Friday timesheets are a non-negotiable!)
