Financial Manager, CFO
Our client, a highly respected and established organisation in the environmental and non-profit sector, is seeking a Financial Manager to lead its accounting function, ensure IFRS compliance, strengthen governance frameworks, and provide strategic financial insight at executive and board level.
This is a high-impact leadership role suited to a technically strong CA(SA) or CIMA-qualified finance professional with 8–10 years’ experience in financial management, reporting, treasury, and team leadership.

Financial Management & ReportingLead the full financial accounting function in line with IFRS for SMEs
Maintain strong internal controls and ensure regulatory compliance
Oversee annual financial statements and external audit processes
Manage tax compliance and optimise financial controls
Maintain chart of accounts and ensure accurate fund allocation
Lead annual budgeting and forecasting processes
Monitor financial performance and manage variances
Prepare management accounts and board-level financial reports
Oversee cash flow, liquidity and investment portfolios
Manage treasury governance and online banking systems
Ensure FICA and financial compliance across accounts
Monitor project budgets and donor reporting
Ensure accurate financial tracking and grant compliance
Lead and develop the finance team
Manage KPIs and performance standards
Liaise with auditors, financial institutions and senior stakeholders
Contribute to strategic planning initiatives
CA(SA), CIMA or equivalent accounting qualification (completed articles essential)
8–10 years’ experience in accounting and financial management
Proven management and leadership experience
Strong knowledge of IFRS for SMEs
Experience with
Oracle, SAP or Oracle Net Suite (essential)Advanced financial reporting and variance analysis skills
Treasury and cash flow management experience
Corporate governance and compliance knowledge
Strong MS Excel, Outlook and Word proficiency
Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a complex environment
High attention to detail and accuracy
Senior leadership exposure
Board-level reporting experience
