** Old Mutual Private Equity (OMPE), part of Old Mutual Alternative Investments (OMAI), is recognised as one of the largest and most established private equity managers in South Africa.
Founded in 2000 and backed by 130 years of collective experience, OMPE specialises in sourcing, investing in, managing, and exiting private equity opportunities.
** Role Overview:
** A compelling opportunity is available to join Old Mutual Private Equity (OMPE) as an Investment Analyst.  The successful incumbent will provide a support function for deal-sourcing, execution and monitoring of the OMPE portfolio.

The OMPE team is dedicated to achieving outstanding investment returns while making a significant meaningful and positive impact, focusing on building a diverse portfolio of private equity investments in medium to large enterprises primarily based in South Africa.
** Key Result Areas
*** Performs comprehensive financial analyses and develops sophisticated financial models.
* Supports the identification and organisation of due diligence activities.
* Analyses market trends, industry dynamics, and potential investment opportunities.
* Provides assistance with structuring and negotiating deal terms during transaction processes.
* Completes quarterly investment valuations.
* Delivers insightful analysis and recommendations to guide the OMPE team’s investment strategies.
* Prepares and delivers reports and presentations to aid informed decision-making.
* Consistently maintains a high level of professionalism, safeguarding OMPE’s reputation in all client and prospective client interactions.
** Skills, Qualifications & Experience required
*** Chartered Accountant (CA(SA)) qualification required
* At least two years’ post-articles experience in private equity, investment banking, or a comparable sector
* Advanced financial modelling and analytical capabilities, with proven ability to analyse intricate data and deliver concise, actionable recommendations
* Solid grasp of private equity fund structures and investment approaches
