As our Financial Controller, you’ll be at the heart of the action, orchestrating all financial matters behind the scenes. From budgets to audits ✅, cash flow to compliance ️, you keep Mama running smoothly, efficiently, and profitably—all while inspiring your team and supporting the wider business.

Here’s what you’ll be responsible for:

• Guardian of the Numbers
  Accounting, reporting, forecasting, budgeting, treasury, and taxation—all balanced perfectly like a financial superhero.

• Master of Financial Statements ️
  Balance sheets, P&L, and cash flow management kept spotless. Ensure audit-ready, accurate, and compliant financial data.

• Revenue & Cost Optimizer
  Provide detailed analysis to boost revenue and cost-efficiency, guiding the business to financial success.

• Bridge Builder
  Connect finance with operations, Ennismore regional support, and hotel owners—ensuring smooth communication and aligned goals.

• Forecasting Guru
  Manage budgets and forecasts to keep financial planning on track and forward-looking.

• Accounting Maestro
  Handle daily and monthly accounting tasks: income control, sales journal prep, revenue control, reconciliations, cash management, and receivables follow-up.

• Cash Flow Commander
  Oversee cash control, accounts payable, and receivable management, keeping the property’s liquidity healthy.

• Compliance Officer ️
  Ensure adherence to accounting policies, licenses, contracts, leases, operational taxes, and internal controls. Support audits and guide management in enforcing standards.

• Leader with Passion
  Guide, develop, and inspire the Mama Finance team. Collaborate with operations and Ennismore support teams to run a perfectly tuned financial engine.

• You bring 5+ years’ experience in senior finance positions in hospitality

• You know the SA financial landscape—compliance, local ordinances, and market complexities ☀️

• You juggle priorities with ease ⏰ and thrive on organization and accuracy

• You love numbers and are obsessive about every penny and decimal point

• You’re a people person , able to collaborate across teams while keeping operations seamless

• You respect confidentiality ️‍♂️—what happens at Mama, stays at Mama

• You live, breathe, and dream in Excel —master of formulas, pivot tables, and reporting

• Experience in audits, compliance, and financial controls ✅

YOUR LITTLE EXTRAS

• You’ve been part of a hotel opening and know how to make numbers work during early stages

• You’re familiar with Opera and Sun Systems

• You balance vibrancy with meticulousness ⚖️—fun, high-energy, and detail-oriented

• International exposure is a plus ✈️
