Client Onboarding and Support

Our Forex SA department is looking to add a Client Onboarding and Support Administrator to their Cape Town team.

Job overview:

The successful candidate will sit at the centre of the client journey. As the first touchpoint a prospective client has with our team, you will bring the operational, regulatory and technical knowledge needed to understand client requirements, guide them through onboarding and ensure initial setups are executed efficiently. Administration is a key element, but it is not the sole purpose as you are there to enable seamless client access and back-office execution.

• Have a degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.
• Have a keen interest in foreign exchange operations, financial administration, and regulatory compliance.
• Have an excellent command of the English language with strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
• Can engage professionally with international clients both telephonically and in writing.
• Are methodical, reliable, and highly organised with exceptional attention to detail.
• Possess strong time management and organisational skills to handle daily operational deadlines in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
• Are a strong problem-solver with a proactive approach to work.
• Are computer literate, with strong skills in MS Excel, Word, and Outlook (CRM software exposure is a plus).

Client relationship management

• Acting as one of the first points of contact for prospective and existing clients.
• Engaging with clients to understand their circumstances, objectives, and requirements.
• Guide clients through the onboarding process and ensure they are directed to the most appropriate solution based on their needs.
• Building and maintaining strong professional relationships with clients, introducers, brokers, banking partners, and internal stakeholders.
• Delivering a high level of service by proactively communicating with clients and managing expectations throughout their journey.

Client onboarding and business support

• Managing and co-ordinating the onboarding of new clients from initial enquiry through to account activation.
• Reviewing and assessing client documentation to ensure compliance with FICA, SARB, and internal requirements.
• Monitoring and tracking all new client registrations and enquiries, ensuring opportunities are progressed efficiently.
• Assisting introducers, brokers, and business development teams with client onboarding, account administration, and transaction requirements.
• Identifying opportunities to introduce clients to other relevant services and solutions within the wider Sable Group.

Operations and transaction management

• Assisting with the preparation and processing of foreign exchange transactions and supporting documentation.
• Completing and maintaining Balance of Payments (BoP) reporting requirements accurately and within required time frames.
• Co-ordinating settlement processes and ensure transaction requirements are fulfilled efficiently.
• Liaising with banking partners and other external stakeholders regarding transaction processing and documentation requirements.
• Monitoring active cases and ensure outstanding requirements are proactively managed through to completion.
