We are looking for an experienced SAIPA-qualified candidate to take ownership of our firm’s Finance Function as well as some of our Operational Processes.

We are looking for someone dependable, who takes ownership. Someone who will be a part of the core Fynbos team and who is excited to learn and to grow with us.

We have scoped the dual role properly, and will make sure that you have sufficient capacity to be able to execute both the finance and operational elements with due care.

You will report directly to Pietman Albertyn (Director and Owner). Pietman is an experienced Chartered Accountant (SA) with exceptional leadership and entrepreneurial ability.

He is responsible for the mentorship of the Team Leaders, for properly structuring, leading and directing the firm as we continue to grow and for all internal financial modelling.

• Payroll — running the full monthly payroll cycle in Simple Pay.
• Processing — day-to-day transaction processing and bookkeeping for the firm in Xero and Dext.
• Calculation and Raising of the Month-end accruals and provisions.
• Preparing and issuing the monthly management pack.
• Software recovery checks (Xero, Dext, Simple Pay, Info Docs oncharges to clients).
• Salaries and Supplier Payments.
• Team expense claims.
• Customer invoice management (we use a GoProposal integration), sending statements to customers, following up on outstanding debt where we do not have a debit order in place (60% of clients are on direct debit).
