Are you arecent Financial Planning graduate ready to launch your career in the financial services industry? PSG is looking for a Junior Technical Specialist:
Advice, tojoin our team in Tygervalley, Cape Town.
This is afantastic entry-level opportunity to gain hands-on exposure to financial planning and advice, working alongside a team of experienced specialists who support a large national network of financial advisers.
Responsibilities- Assist with coordinatingengagement sessions between internal and/or external stakeholders
- Assist in liaising withadvisers, help capture and organise data received, and support feedbackcollation
- Assist with compilingfinancial planning related content
- Support senior team members on technical product and advice matters, including preparation foradviser-focused meetings
- Assist with investment related projects and daily tasks such as portfolio and product research
- Help track progress onteam projects and provide general administrative support to keep them moving forward
- Help compile progress reports on projects and ad hoc business initiatives for review by senior team members
- Conduct research for adhoc projects as assigned by the team
- Degree in Financial Planning or related (completed, or final year of study)
- Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Planning / progress towards CFP designation (advantageous)
- No prior formal work experience required; this is an entry-level graduate opportunity
- Exposure to financial planning, the financial services industry or investment products, life insurance or financial planning through vacation work, internships or academic projects is advantageous
- Working knowledge ofPowerPoint, Word and Excel
- Willingness and ability tolearn financial products, advice and technical processes quickly
- Strong attention to detailand developing analytical skills
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Proactive approachtoidentifying and helping solve problems
- Adaptable, resilient andeager to grow
- High emotional intelligence
- A team player who workswell under guidance and supervision
