Insurance Risk Analyst

Our client is seeking a proactive and analytical Insurance Risk Analyst to join their team in Upington . This role involves identifying, assessing, and quantifying potential risks across the company's insurance products and operations. You will develop strategies to mitigate these risks and ensure the company's financial stability and compliance. This is a key position that contributes directly to the long-term success and resilience of the organization within the Northern Cape market.

• Analyze insurance data to identify trends, potential risks, and areas of exposure.
• Develop and implement risk management frameworks and strategies.
• Conduct risk assessments for new products and business initiatives.
• Monitor the effectiveness of risk mitigation measures and recommend adjustments as needed.
• Prepare risk reports for senior management, highlighting key findings and recommendations.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements related to risk management.

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Statistics, Actuarial Science, Economics, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in risk analysis, preferably within the insurance industry.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with proficiency in statistical software and tools.
• Excellent understanding of risk management principles and techniques.
• Effective communication and presentation skills to convey complex information clearly.
• Familiarity with insurance operations and regulatory environments in South Africa .
