Our client is actively seeking a meticulous and experienced Risk Management Specialist to join their established finance division in Cape Town
. This role is critical for identifying, assessing, and mitigating financial risks across the organization’s diverse portfolio. You will play a key role in developing and implementing robust risk management frameworks, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, and safeguarding the company’s assets and reputation. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of financial markets and a proactive approach to risk mitigation.

• Develop and implement comprehensive risk management strategies and policies for the banking sector

• Conduct regular risk assessments, identifying potential threats and vulnerabilities in financial operations.
• Monitor and analyze market trends, credit risks, and operational risks, reporting findings to senior management.
• Design and oversee the execution of risk mitigation plans and contingency strategies.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and reporting requirements in Cape Town

• Master's degree in Finance, Risk Management, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
• At least 6 years of progressive experience in financial risk management, with a strong focus on banking.
• Proven ability to develop and implement effective risk management frameworks and models.
• In-depth knowledge of financial instruments, market dynamics, and regulatory landscapes.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent report-writing capabilities.
