TCOE Salary: R – R  per annum

• Relevant tertiary qualification, preferably a B degree in the Built Environment, including Urban Planning, Civil Engineering or
• Minimum 8 years’ relevant experience in the built environment.
• Working knowledge of municipal planning and/or engineering infrastructure, as well as local government legislation, policies and regulatory processes relating to land use management, infrastructure coordination and/or transport engineering.
• Experience in property development facilitation will be advantageous.
• Professional registration with a recognised professional body, such as SACPLAN or ECSA.
• Computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, with the ability to compile clear, professional and high-quality presentations and reports for senior management and key stakeholders. stakeholder engagement and conflict resolution skills.

• Required to work flexible hours, including attendance at after hours meetings, forums, workshops and stakeholder
• Required to attend meetings, inspections and site visits across the City.
• A valid Code B driver's licence is required.

• Provides technical advisory and property development facilitation services to developers and other key stakeholders, navigating land use, engineering services, infrastructure, traffic, stormwater and building plan approval processes.
• Applies in-depth knowledge of planning, property development and regulatory frameworks to facilitate, expedite and coordinate complex development applications and strategic development initiatives.
• Coordinates multidisciplinary processes across planning, infrastructure, engineering and other regulatory functions to support the timely progression and implementation of strategic property development projects.
• Plans, coordinates and facilitates programmes, projects and interventions aimed at improving development facilitation, optimising systems and processes, and enhancing the ease of doing business.
• Builds and maintains effective relationships with property developers, professional teams, service authorities, government entities and other key stakeholders to facilitate the resolution of development-related matters.
• Participates in transversal initiatives and provides input into policies, programmes and strategies aimed at improving the and economic growth, and promoting sustainable development.
• Ensure that development facilitation activities and initiatives are aligned with applicable national and provincial legislation, and City policies, frameworks and regulatory requirements.
