TCOE Salary: R per annum
Requirements:
- A relevant 3 year tertiary qualification (postgraduate degree preferred)
- Minimum of 8 years' relevant experience
- Drive the review or development of a portfolio of policy instruments and work across all portfolios to ensure that high priority policy items progress effectively:
- Provide strategic policy advice, research, analysis and counsel to the City's political and executive leadership;
- Manage and improve the City's policy development and
- Maintain and oversee the City's policy tracking system to prioritise, monitor, report on and support the progression of priority policy work;
- Build and maintain a central policy library for the City;
- Develop tools, materials and capacity-building initiatives to strengthen policy capability across the organisation, support policy development and improve the effectiveness of the City's policy process;
- Engage across Directorates on policy issues with key internal and external stakeholders, including the City's political leadership;
- Task-based oversight of policy analysts within the branch.
