Assurecloud Chemistry Analyst

To plan and execute chemical testing of samples in accordance with SANAS 17025 standards, ensuring timely, accurate and compliant results that support food safety and quality assurance.

• Conduct simple and complex chemical tests independently, including troubleshooting.
• Verify and interpret test results using known reference data.
• Maintain turnaround times (TATs) and escalate delays to the Chemistry Lab Manager.
• Operate and maintain laboratory instruments (e.g., ICP-MS, UV-Vis, AAS).
• Notify management of calibration and servicing needs.
• Ensure compliance with OHS and Quality Assurance procedures.
• Implement corrective actions for quality and TAT deviations.
• Manage stock levels and consumable costs effectively.
• Foster positive relationships with internal and external clients.
• Maintain good housekeeping and safety practices.
• Read and understand relevant procedures and MSDSs.
• Perform other duties within scope as assigned.

• National Diploma or Degree in Analytical Chemistry or Biotechnology.

• 1–2 years’ experience in Nutritional or Heavy Metal Analysis.
• Exposure to SANAS ISO/IEC 17025 accredited environments.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with instruments such as ICP‑MS, UV‑Vis, and AAS.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
• Knowledge of laboratory safety and quality systems.
