Senior Networking Technical Specialist

As a Networking Technical Specialist, you'll be responsible for maintaining and managing the company's network infrastructure. You will assist with the installation of new equipment such as routers, switches and wireless access points. You will be required to provide technical support on issues relating to these devices. In addition, you may also need to troubleshoot problems that arise from time-to-time in order to ensure systems are running smoothly and effectively.

Requirements

• Monitors network traffic via packet capture systems, routers, and security measures.
• Analyzes and reports statistics on network performance and performance trends.
• Reviews existing documentation to ensure accurate documentation and documentation revisions.
• Revises network documentation to incorporate changes in network architecture, configurations, network software and hardware.
• Works in a team environment to coordinate basic networking requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field required
• Six years of experience in networking, telecommunications, and/or data communications preferred.
• Must be proficient with network hardware and software.
• Must be able to troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues, including server hardware and software.
