As a Business Analyst you will translate client requirements into functional requirements. Your objective is to design and test software code that enables computer systems to meet client needs. You will have strong knowledge on multi-technology application design best practice which enables them to contribute meaningfully in the team toward achieving optimal application designs. You will participate and contribute in the team’s development process and work with technical contacts from other teams or external partners on integration.

You will perform delivery management tasks as needed to ensure enhancements are delivered on time and meet user requirements. In addition you will participate in development of smaller projects and ensure their timely delivery.

You will be required to drive the testing through the various test cycles and be required to create testing plans and test cases and facilitate the testing.

You will be required to work on multiple client environments within a short space of time and work within a team to deliver a solution to our clients.

Roles and responsibilities

Functional areas

· Determines operational objectives by studying business functions; gathering information; evaluating output requirements and formats.

· Designs new systems and processes by analyzing requirements; constructing workflow charts and diagrams; studying system capabilities; writing specifications.

· Improves systems and processes by studying current practices; designing modifications.

· Recommends controls by identifying problems; writing improved procedures.

· Maintains system protocols by writing and updating procedures.

· Provides references for users by writing and maintaining user documentation; providing help desk support; training users.

· Maintains user confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.

· Business analysis and business process understanding

· Analyze and model new Business requirements

· Work with software developers to develop functional requirements documents

· Analyze the client requirements and ensure the solution meets these requirements

· Design, evaluate and recommend best practices for design architecture

· Prepare system definitions, requirements analysis and test cases for implementation of applications

· Create test plans and supporting documentation

· Produce end-user and functional documentation

· Work closely and effectively and maintain good relationship with other team members, and in-house software development, project management, QA, and system admin teams

· Work independently with users and executives to address business challenges

· Help others in the organization with software knowledge at a level of understanding appropriate to their job function

· Research, and evaluate new application trends and technologies and provide best practices and recommendations

· Mentor less experienced members of the team in technology and processes

· Easily adapts themselves to various methodologies ranging from SDLC, primer and Agile – dependent on the needs of the project.
