Position: IT Administrator - 6 Months Fixed Term Contract

Ecowize is looking for a skilled and competent IT Administrator to join the IT team in Cape Town on a 6-month Fixed-Term contract. The purpose of the role is to provide IT administration support to the Ecowize Group, while managing the internal controls, overseeing the Service Desk and procurement procedures of the IT Division.

High-Level Objectives:

  • Stakeholders focus on building relationships with key business partners.
  • People focus - management of all IT procurement processes and IT Service Desk interactions.
  • Compliance focus - Implement processes to safeguard information.
  • Innovation Focus - business process innovation and IT administration efficiencies.
  • Key responsibilities:

    • Support management in collating and distributing reports and other information as required
    • Drive regular meaningful interactions with different divisions.
    • Monitor and manage IT Service Desk requests.
    • Create and maintain database records for all IT Equipment and IT Registers.
    • Coordinate movement of IT equipment between sites by effectively managing logistics.
    • Maintain good levels of clear and concise communication.
    • Advise IT Manager on IT Equipment, Systems and business requirements based on interactions with IT users, senior management, and executives.
    • Manage all 3rd party service level agreements and ensure service is to standard.
    • Ensure help desk is effective and efficient by following up on tickets nearing SLA breach.
    • Liaise with 3rd party providers to close off open items (Nova, Smart Office, Vodacom, Bizconnect, …).
    • Ensure systems downtime is minimised by providing ad-hoc 1st/2nd level IT Support.
    • Meet performance targets that aligns with Strategic Targets with IT Division.
    • Assist team with solving problems.
    • Ensure continuous teamwork is cultivated.
    • Take ownership of difficult situations and drive constructive conversations to ensure a feasible outcome.
    • Ensure that IT policies and procedures are maintained and kept.
    • Manage IT Purchasing Administration which includes gathering quotes, raising requisitions/purchase orders and forwarding invoices to finance department for processing.
    • Ensure that finance processes are adhered to by ensuring that quotes are requested and that purchase orders are issued prior to receiving items/services.
    • Maintain procurement best practice to ensure business needs are met at all times while identifying efficiencies and cost saving.
    • Track costs to ensure that budgets are not exceeded.
    • Work closely with IT Manager to find efficiencies that results in cost saving for the business.
    • Continuously identifying opportunities to improve administration processes to drive efficiencies.
