Product Designer

We are seeking a Product Designer with strong visual design capabilities and a passion for tackling complex problems to join our growing South Africa team. This is an exciting opportunity for a versatile designer with foundational UX experience who is eager to deepen their skills in UX research and strategy while contributing to meaningful product work. The ideal candidate understands design systems and is motivated to maintain visual and experiential consistency across products, brings a collaborative, growth-oriented mindset, and communicates design decisions with clarity and confidence.

Design & Execution:

• Design solutions that balance user needs with business objectives, delivering measurable impact
• Create high-quality visual designs and user interfaces that align with our design system
• Take ownership of moderately complex design challenges and work autonomously to deliver
• Develop prototypes using Figma and other tools to communicate design ideas
• Contribute to UX research efforts including usability testing and user interviews

Design Systems:

• Implement and extend our design system to ensure consistency across products
• Document design patterns and components for team use
• Collaborate with senior designers to refine and evolve the design system
• Champion design system adoption across your product area

Collaboration & Growth:

• Work closely with Product and Engineering teams to bring designs to life
• Advocate for users by crafting designs that are intuitive, inclusive, and accessible
• Learn from senior designers and develop your skills in UX research and strategic thinking
• Support team goals and contribute to a positive, collaborative team culture

Essential

Experience:

• 2-4 years of experience in product design for digital products
• Strong visual design skills with an eye for detail and aesthetics
• Generalist background with experience across UX and UI design
• Demonstrated experience working with design systems, either contributing to or implementing them
• Proficiency in Figma and familiarity with design system tools
• Basic understanding of UX research methods, including usability testing
• Strong collaboration skills with Product and Engineering teams
• Ability to balance user needs with business goals and technical constraints

Preferred Qualifications:

• Qualification in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or related field
• Experience with component-based design and atomic design principles
• Familiarity with accessibility standards and inclusive design practices
• Interest in B2B products or enterprise software
