We're looking for a Junior UX Designer who is passionate about creating intuitive, accessible, and user‑friendly digital experiences. You will work closely with Product Managers, Senior Designers, Developers, and other stakeholders to help design and improve Ozow's web and mobile payment experiences. This is an excellent opportunity for a growing designer who wants to deepen their UX skills in a fast‑paced fintech environment and work on products used by millions of South Africans.

Your role and responsibilities UX Design & Solution Development
  • Assist in the design of end‑to‑end user experiences across Ozow's products and platforms
  • Translate user needs, business requirements, and technical constraints into intuitive UX solutions
  • Create user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and basic UI designs
User Research & Insights
  • Participate in user research activities, including usability testing, surveys, and interviews
  • Analyse user behaviour and feedback to identify usability issues and opportunities for improvement
Collaboration & Delivery
  • Collaborate closely with Product Managers and Developers to ensure designs are implemented effectively
Design Systems & Standards
  • Contribute to & assist in maintaining Ozow's design system
  • Adhere to UX design principles & accessibility standards
  • Iterate on designs based on user insights, data, and stakeholder feedback
  • Professional Development & Industry Standards
  • Stay up to date with UX best practices, fintech trends, and accessibility standards
You are an ideal candidate if you have
  • 1–3 years of professional experience as a UX Designer, Product Designer, or similar role
  • A portfolio demonstrating UX thinking, problem‑solving, and design process (research → ideation → execution)
  • Experience designing digital products for web and/or mobile
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Figma (preferred), Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar
  • Basic understanding of UX principles, usability, and accessibility
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to explain design decisions clearly
  • Comfortable working in a collaborative, agile environment
