Position: Teamcenter Systems Administrator at Milkor

Role Summary

The role supports and maintains business-critical systems, databases, and the Team Center/PLM environment. The incumbent will assist with system integrations, upgrades, testing, and deployments, while providing technical support to end-users and engineering teams. The role requires working within a Windows and Microsoft Server environment, adhering to IT policies and data access rules, and continuously developing knowledge of the company's platforms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support and maintain databases, including database migration, maintenance, and the use of database migration tools, preferably within an SQL DBMS environment.
  • Assist with system integrations and ensure smooth interoperability between platforms.
  • Support system upgrades, deployments, and related implementation activities.
  • Maintain the Teamcenter application and provide support to Teamcenter end-users.
  • Provide support to System Engineers in using CAD design software (NX).
  • Provide support to Hardware Engineers using PCB Design Software (Altium)
  • Work effectively within a Windows operating environment.
  • Conduct testing of system functionality and processes to ensure reliability and performance.
  • Develop knowledge of and proficiency in the company's platform through on-the-job training.
  • Support changes and deployments using Business Modeler.
  • Adhere to IT rules and regulations in all system-related activities.
  • Understand and apply data access rules to ensure compliance and security.
Requirements
  • IT-related qualification (NQF Level 6 and higher)
  • 3-5 years' experience in a similar role, with demonstrated experience working in an environment using Team Center.
  • Proven experience working with PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) systems.
  • Must have own transport.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with design software such as Solid Works and/or NX.
  • Understanding of at least one of the following programming languages:
    Java, Python, or C++.
  • Basic knowledge of Windows Server.
  • Understanding of programming concepts.
  • Advanced knowledge of Team Center.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Server.
  • Sound understanding of databases.
