Overview
A leading audit firm is looking for an ambitious and highly-motivated Assistant Manager to join their team of IT Audit professionals in Cape Town.
In this role, you will be responsible for scoping, planning, and managing a team to execute the reengineering of financial statements and internal audits to optimally leverage our client’s information systems and data as well as technologies available to the firm to achieve efficiency, risk mitigation, optimal assurance, and differentiation. Managing teams in the execution of large or complex audit clients.
You will also be responsible for providing coaching and guidance to junior colleagues on engagements.
You will be delivering on engagement in an IT advisory capacity to assist the company’s clients in managing risks involved with information management, IT governance, business systems risk management, project risk management and information security.

Analysing audit strategy and plansDefining ideal target audit approaches that leverage technology and data analysisEngaging with audit and internal audit partners and managers to work together with them in teamsTeam leadershipProviding insight to our audit clients about IT in their businesses in presentations and reportsProject/engagement managementReview and quality assurance of deliverablesDevelop internal and external client relationshipsClient liaison and problem-solvingAbility to identify potential business development/sales opportunitiesReporting of findings to key stakeholders (client and audit), as well as investigating mitigating controls and procedures for control deficienciesReport writingBuilding capabilities and methodologies in the areas of system-based auditing and data analyticsPerformance management of allocated colleagues (up to
5)Experience:
Minimum 5 years of working experienceExperience in performing IT audits and auditing the IT systems of external and internal audit clients, specifically in the Investment and Fund Management, Manufacturing, Retail, Consumer Markets, and Insurance space is required for this specific position.Experience in IT Attestation audits (ISAE
3402, SOC
1) and PCAOB audits is advantageous.Education & certificates:
