Cloud Project Engineer

About the Role

We're looking for a proactive Cloud Project Engineer to join our Professional Services Cloud Team. You will deliver Microsoft 365 and Azure projects endtoend, from build to handover, working closely with Project Managers, senior engineers, and clients across a wide range of industries. This is a handson delivery role suited to someone who enjoys variety, ownership, and solving realworld technical challenges.

• Deliver Microsoft 365 and Azure work packages, including build, configuration, testing, and client handover
• Implement and support Entra , Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, One Drive, Intune, and M365 security/compliance features
• Configure Intune policies, device onboarding, app deployments, and endpoint management
• Integrate third party SaaS applications with Entra  (SSO using SAML/OIDC)
• Support Azure IaaS: VMs, identity integration, networking basics, backup, and monitoring
• Work confidently with MSP tooling (RMM, EDR, email security, cloud backups)
• Produce high quality documentation - build notes, asbuilts, handovers
• Solve unfamiliar technical problems using vendor documentation, structured troubleshooting, and critical thinking
• Engage directly with clients in workshops, technical discussions, and solution walkthroughs
• Some project work will occasionally require planned outofhours activity (e.g., cutovers or migrations). This will always be scheduled with notice.

• Handson experience delivering Microsoft 365 projects in a Professional Services or MSP environment
• Strong knowledge across Entra , Teams, SharePoint, Intune, Exchange Online, and M365 security
• Experience with M365 migrations (Exchange, SharePoint, One Drive, Teams, endpoints)
• Solid troubleshooting across identity, collaboration, and endpoint services
• Working knowledge of Windows Server, AD, DNS, Entra Connect
• Exposure to Azure IaaS fundamentals (VMs, networking, storage, monitoring)
• Ability to break down unfamiliar technologies and deliver solutions by researching documentation
• Experience using MSP tools such as Connect Wise Automate (RMM), Sentinel One (EDR), Barracuda/Acronis backup or similar
• Clear written and verbal communication skills with both technical and nontechnical audiences

• Working Model:
  The role is office-based and aligned to CET business hours. The employee will be required from time to time to work outside of normal hours, including evenings or weekends, to support client cutovers or project go-live activities.

  Standard Cape Town hours with required overlap with UK/Europe operations.
