- Facilitate communication between business and IT teams by conducting workshops, interviews, and gathering requirements to understand objectives.
- Translate business needs into clear functional specifications, user stories, and process documentation for development teams.
- Analyse business challenges, identify opportunities for technology improvements, and collaborate with IT to design and validate solutions.
- Prepare business cases and cost‑benefit analyses, and support the project lifecycle through to user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Ensure solutions align with financial regulations and IT governance, while managing relationships with vendors and third‑party providers.
- Provide necessary training and ongoing support to end‑users for newly implemented systems and processes.
- A relevant tertiary qualification would be beneficial (Business, IT, Computer Science, Finance, etc.).
- Certifications such as CBAP, CCBA, or PMI‑PBA are advantageous.
- 8+ years of business analysis experience within the finance sector (e.g., private equity, asset management).
- Experience with enterprise financial systems and proficiency in tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Visio.
- Strong understanding of financial operations, fund management, reporting, accounting principles, and financial data flows is essential.
- Familiarity with both Agile and Waterfall methodologies, business process modelling, and requirements‑gathering techniques.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication abilities are necessary, along with the capacity to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
