Product Designer; UX​/UI

Overview

Our cutting-edge client, building the AI infrastructure layer for modern e-commerce, is searching for their first Product Designer (UX/UI) to join their team in Cape Town (hybrid) in order to create products that both merchants and shoppers love using. The team is looking for a thoughtful, curious designer who enjoys solving difficult product problems.

You’ll work directly with the founding team, engineers and customers to design everything from merchant dashboards to entirely new shopping experiences powered by AI. One week you might be designing a new feature for the platform, the next you could be prototyping a completely new way for customers to discover products.

This isn’t a role where you’ll simply receive tickets from Product. You’ll help shape what we build, test ideas with customers, and bring them to life. This is a high-impact, early-stage role where you’ll have significant ownership over the product experience.

• Design user experiences from concept through to production
• Create wireframes, prototypes and high-fidelity UI in Figma
• Work closely with customers to understand problems and test solutions
• Collaborate daily with engineering to ship high-quality products
• Design demos that showcase new capabilities to customers
• Help create marketing assets, sales collateral and product visuals where needed
• Build and evolve our design system as the product grows
• Continuously improve existing experiences based on customer feedback

• 3–6 years of product design experience preferred
• Strong portfolio demonstrating thoughtful UX and polished UI
• Experience with Figma and interactive prototyping
• Experience designing digital products from concept to launch
• Startup or B2B SaaS experience is helpful but not required
