IT Technician Hotel; Pre

Position Summary

Responsible for maintaining and supporting the organization’s IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, networks and end‑user applications. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, manage user accounts, perform system backups, and enforce security and privacy protocols.

• Monitor, maintain and troubleshoot computer hardware, peripherals and network infrastructure.
• Provide end‑user support by addressing technical issues, answering questions and guiding users on software and hardware usage.
• Manage user accounts, including setup, removal and password resets, ensuring confidentiality and compliance.
• Perform regular system backups, validate backup integrity and restore data when necessary.
• Maintain inventory of all technology devices and related equipment.
• Assist with the installation, configuration and modification of workstations, cables, docking stations, printers and other peripherals.
• Secure backup media, accessing rooms and other assets; assist in closing and securing equipment at end‑of‑shift.
• Follow security and safety protocols, report incidents and collaborate with facilities and security personnel.
• Coordinate with vendors and technicians for major hardware/software repairs and escalation.
• Document procedures, troubleshooting steps and system changes in the knowledge base.
• Maintain website technical architecture, including updating software and ensuring uptime.

• Proficiency with Windows and/or Linux operating systems and common productivity software.
• Experience managing user accounts, VPNs and network authentication.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
• Physical capability to lift, move or carry items up to 50 pounds.
• Basic knowledge of networking concepts and security best practices.
