Platform Engineer

Role Overview:

Our client is seeking an experienced Platform Engineer to take ownership of its production Kubernetes platform, ensuring reliability, scalability, security and operational excellence. This is a hands‑on engineering role responsible for managing Kubernetes environments, Azure infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• Minimum 4 years' experience in Platform Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), Infrastructure Engineering or Dev Ops.
• Strong hands‑on experience managing production Kubernetes (Kubernetes) environments.
• Advanced Terraform experience, including Infrastructure as Code (IaC), modules and remote state management.
• Experience building and maintaining Azure Dev Ops CI/CD pipelines

• Strong Linux administration skills.
• Proficiency in Go, Python or Bash scripting.
• Solid networking knowledge, including TCP/IP, DNS, TLS, routing, ingress controllers and service mesh fundamentals.
• Experience with production incident response, on‑call support and post‑mortem reviews.

• Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA).
• Experience with Rancher for multi‑cluster management.
• Helm chart authoring and release management.
• Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
• Azure networking, Key Vault and Storage services.
• Cluster Autoscaler implementation.
• Secrets management using Azure Key Vault or Hashi Corp Vault.
• Experience implementing enterprise observability platforms (Prometheus, Grafana, Loki and distributed tracing).
• Windows Server administration experience.
