Aws Bi​/Amazon Quick Sight Developer

We are seeking an experienced AWS BI / Amazon Quick Sight Developer with strong Qlik expertise to support a key business intelligence migration initiative within a large retail organization. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in migrating approximately three to four complex Qlik applications to Amazon Quick Sight. This will involve analyzing existing Qlik solutions, rebuilding data models and business logic within Quick Sight, recreating dashboards and visualizations, and ensuring the migrated solutions meet business and technical requirements.

This role requires a hands-on BI professional who can work independently, engage directly with business stakeholders, and take ownership of delivering high-quality migration outcomes.

• Analyses existing Qlik applications, dashboards, and data models to understand business requirements and reporting logic.
• Migrate complex Qlik applications and dashboards to Amazon Quick Sight.
• Rebuild and optimize data models, calculations, metrics, and reporting structures within the AWS environment.
• Develop, test, and deploy Amazon Quick Sight dashboards and visualizations.
• Validate migrated Quick Sight solutions against existing Qlik applications to ensure accuracy and consistency.
• Collaborate with business users and technical stakeholders to gather requirements and resolve migration challenges.
• Identify opportunities to improve reporting performance, usability, and scalability during migration.
• Troubleshoot and resolve data quality, performance, and reporting issues.
• Maintain documentation of migration processes, business rules, data models, and technical designs.
• Proactively identify, communicate, and raise risks that may impact project delivery timelines or quality.
• Support user acceptance testing and business sign-off activities.

• Strong experience with Amazon Quick Sight development and dashboard design.
• Solid understanding of AWS data and analytics services

• Strong experience working with Qlik View and/or Qlik Sense

• Experience building and maintaining BI dashboards, data models, and reporting solutions.
• Strong SQL and data analysis skills.
• Experience translating business requirements into reporting and analytics solutions.
• Understanding of data modelling concepts and reporting best practices.

• Previous experience migrating Qlik applications or dashboards to Amazon Quick Sight

• Experience working in enterprise-scale BI migration projects.
• Exposure to AWS data services such as:
  • Amazon Redshift
  • AWS Glue
  • Amazon S3
  • Athena
  • Lambda
• Retail industry experience.

• 4+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, or Reporting Development.
• Proven experience developing dashboards and reporting solutions in Amazon Quick Sight.
• Strong hands-on experience with Qlik platforms (Qlik Sense and/or Qlik View).
• Demonstrated experience working on reporting migrations or BI platform transformation initiatives.
• Experience working with large and complex datasets.
• Relevant certifications in AWS, Business Intelligence, or Data Analytics would be advantageous.

The ideal candidate is an experienced BI Developer with strong expertise in both Amazon Quick Sight and Qlik
, and a proven track record of delivering reporting and analytics solutions in enterprise environments. Experience with BI migration projects, particularly moving dashboards and business logic from Qlik to Quick Sight, will be highly advantageous.

They will be comfortable working closely with client stakeholders, capable of independently driving migration activities, and focused on ensuring seamless transition, reporting accuracy, and successful project outcomes.
