Your Role

General Reinsurance, Cape Town Branch (a subsidiary of General Reinsurance AG) is offering an opportunity for a Reinsurance Administrator in our Life Australia, UK, SA, Canada segment. The Reinsurance Administrator provides a wide array of administrative support to the Claims, Finance and Data & Analytics teams within the segment with specific focus on the Australian business.

Key Responsibilities

The Reinsurance Administrator reports to the Administration Manager and is responsible for performing the following tasks with a high level of accuracy and with a client orientated mindset.

  • Monitor and maintain the Administration mailbox and action items accordingly.
  • Setting up new and maintaining existing claims within the claims database.
  • Reviewing and processing of incoming claim payment requests including verification of amounts, notification and payment.
  • Reviewing and processing of policy and premium data.
  • Liaising with clients on bordereaux queries and general questions.
  • Support quality assurance with regards to process and data accuracy.
  • Support the implementation of a new reinsurance administration platform.
  • Ad hoc administrative tasks to support each of the functions.
