Supply Chain And Material Planning Manager

SUPPLY CHAIN AND MATERIAL PLANNING MANAGER
A manufacturer of renewable energy products based in Cape Town is recruiting for the position of Supply Chain & Material Planning Manager. This is a pivotal role to optimize and manage the flow of goods and services within the organization. This role is responsible for overseeing various aspects of the supply chain, including production scheduling, material planning, procurement, cost management, and timely delivery of products required.

POSITION LOCATION:

• Cape Town / Johannesburg
QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED:

• Tertiary qualification in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or similar field

• 7 years + experience in supply chain and master production scheduling in dynamic production environment

• Knowledge and experience in the renewable energy field will be beneficial.

• Experience working with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central will be beneficial.

• Warehousing experience would be advantageous

• Extensive experience in importation, freight forwarding and clearing, customs etc.

• Proven ability to implement supply chain improvement initiatives
NECESSARY EXPERIENCE & INDUSTRY KNOWLEDGE:

• Thorough understanding of all aspects of demand planning & supply chain processes

• Understanding of principles of accounting and finance

• Understanding of Engineering and Manufacturing processes, including BOM’s.

• Experience in an ERP/MRP systems specifically Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
