Recently announced funding by Climate Fund Managers will enable our dynamic, young team in its ambition to power and electrify Africa.
We are present in several countries in Africa and in the Americas, and are headquartered in Oslo, Norway.
Currently we are looking for a Strategic Procurement Manager in Cape Town, South Africa to be part of our global team working together towards our vision –
Improving our future. As our Strategic Procurement Manager
, you will deliver supply chain project management, strategic support, and operational oversight to the Release business. You will lead and execute strategic initiatives that strengthen our Supply Chain function, drive product cost reduction, timeline optimisation, and business growth. The Supply Chain team plays a critical role in ensuring that all goods and services are sourced and delivered on time, within budget, in compliance with procurement policies, and at the required quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Manage key supply chain projects and initiatives – contributing to the overall Supply Chain function in Release
- Support the Supply Chain function where needed
- Provide continuous input towards improvement and optimisation of the operating system
- Produce and contribute to the establishment of strategic documents, policies and procedures
- Manage/support development and implementation of strategy for establishing a solid and cost‑efficient supply chain for Release
- Manage/support development, implementation and maintain procurement policies and procedures in the countries where Release is active
- Manage procurement processes as needed, including vendor qualification, cost‑reduction initiatives, establishment of strategic frame agreements, and end‑to‑end sourcing and contracting
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management,
B.Sc in Business Administration, Legal degree,
B.Sc QS or similar - Excellent knowledge in Excel
- Proficient in MS Word
- Excellent knowledge of PowerPoint presentations
- Trained in contracts management (FIDIC)
- 8+ years’ experience in Supply Chain
- 4+ years’ experience in a managerial position
- 3+ years’ experience in renewable energy construction projects and specifically on operational assets
- Understanding and interpreting the wider company strategies to sculpt and implement the supply chain strategy
- Develop sourcing strategies for individual/strategic projects to secure on‑time deliveries and effective financing
- Strong ability to interpret, communicate and deliver on supply chain KPI’s
- Strong relationship management
