Strategic Sourcing Graduate Trainee

AMSOL is offering a Strategic Sourcing Graduate Trainee position as part of its Graduate Programme. This fixed-term contract will provide practical, hands-on training under the supervision of the Procurement Supervisor. The trainee will start with supervised learning and gradually progress to working independently in supply chain and procurement operations.

• Participate in developmental activities to acquire basic knowledge in strategic sourcing and procurement
• Assist in procurement operations, ensuring efficient sourcing and cost-effective purchasing
• Work on analyzing supply chain data, identifying areas for improvement
• Gain exposure to supplier negotiations and contract management
• Support logistics planning and coordination
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies and industry standards
• Collaborate with various departments to optimize supply chain processes
• Participate in problem-solving and process improvement initiatives
• Progress from supervised learning to independent decision-making

• Preference given to candidates with a Bachelor’s Degree in:
  
  Supply Chain Management,Procurement,Maritime Studies or related fields
• Strong numerical, verbal reasoning, and analytical skills
• Enjoys problem-solving
• Maritime industry exposure is an advantage
• South African citizenship
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Flexible, team-oriented, and committed to learning and development
