About the Role

We are looking for an Operations Agent to join our Cape Town team. This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced operational environment, supporting the day-to-day running of the branch across imports, exports, dispatch, customer communication, compliance, and general operational administration.

This opportunity would suit someone who enjoys variety in their day, can move confidently from one task to the next, and is keen to learn all aspects of the business. You do not need to come from the most senior background to be successful in this role, but you should bring a proactive mindset, a positive attitude, and a willingness to get involved wherever needed.

You will work closely with internal teams, customers, drivers, airlines, and service providers to help ensure shipments are managed efficiently, compliantly, and to a high standard.

Montague Gardens, Cape Town (Fully on-site)

Working Pattern

40 hours per week + Weekend and Public Holiday working as required.

Key Responsibilities

• Support daily branch operations across imports, exports, and dispatch

• Coordinate with drivers, customers, airlines, vendors, and internal teams

• Prepare and process shipping, import, and export documentation

• Monitor shipment progress and assist in resolving operational delays or issues

• Maintain accurate updates across operational systems and records

• Assist with packaging preparation, temperature monitor handling, and replenishment activities

• Support compliance with company procedures and operational standards

• Help manage stock-related activities, including stock counts and stock level monitoring

• Complete general operational administration, filing, and record keeping

• Provide support to other functions, including customer service and wider branch operations, when required

Skills and Experience

• Previous experience in acourier, freight, logistics, shipping, airline, or similar operational environment would be advantageous
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage a varied workload
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where priorities can change quickly
• A positive, flexible, and team-oriented approach
• Confident communicator with the ability to work with different stakeholders
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think on your feet
• Willingness to learn and take on different aspects of the operation
• Basic administrative and system skills
• Matric
• Valid driver’s licence
• Own reliable transport is preferred due to the operational nature of the role
