Buyer - Indirect Services

Our client is seeking an experienced Buyer specializing in Indirect Services to join their procurement team in Upington, operating on a hybrid model. This role is responsible for sourcing and procuring a wide range of non-operational goods and services, such as IT, professional services, marketing, and facilities management. You will focus on delivering value through effective negotiation, supplier management, and strategic sourcing initiatives.

The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of indirect spend categories and a proven ability to manage multiple stakeholder requirements effectively.

• Source and procure indirect goods and services, ensuring competitive pricing and quality.
• Negotiate contracts and service level agreements (SLAs) with suppliers for indirect categories.
• Manage supplier relationships and performance for indirect service providers.
• Analyze spend patterns within indirect categories to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Collaborate with internal departments to understand their needs for indirect services and ensure timely procurement.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procurement best practices for all indirect purchases.

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Buyer or Procurement Specialist, with a focus on indirect spend.
• Strong understanding of indirect procurement strategies and contract management.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in procurement software and MS Office Suite.
