Field Technician, Blackheath

Our client, a leading player in the FMCG, production and manufacturing sectors, is seeking a skilled Field Technician / Field Engineer to join their on‑site team in Blackheath, Cape Town. This role offers the chance to work within a supportive, results‑driven culture that values technical expertise and proactive problem resolution.

• Millwright / Electrical / Mechanical Engineering qualification
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Technical / Manufacturing environment
• Strong hands‑on ability with a passion for producing detailed written reports
• Excellent planning, organisational and client interaction skills
• Business English proficiency (written and verbal)
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite
• Solid attendance record with sound references
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong adherence to quality and H & S standards
• Valid driver’s license and passport for travelling both locally and internationally
• Live in Western Cape

• Provide technical and after‑sales support
• Write and validate technical information used for documentation
• Develop and maintain a database of technical specifications and information
• Supply technical information to marketing, sales, spares and customers
• Participate in projects and research as required
• Conduct testing and validations
• Deliver training sessions
• Travel both nationally and internationally for training, projects, commissioning and fault fining

• Monday – Thursday: 08:00 – 16:30
• Friday: 08:00 – 16:00
