Facilities Assistant

STADIO Higher Education is looking for a Facilities Assistant at the Durbanville Campus

The Facilities Assistant is responsible for supporting the effective day-to-day management and maintenance of the campus facilities, ensuring a safe, clean, functional, and well-maintained environment for staff, students, and visitors. The role assists with facility operations, maintenance coordination, health and safety compliance, supplier liaison, and general administrative support to ensure the smooth running of all campus facilities.

• Check parking area and campus parameter.
• Ensure that the campus grounds are cleaned daily.
• Disposal of general waste and recycling materials in and around the campus.

• Repair, paint refurbish equipment and buildings as requested and as per Facilities Manager’s instruction.
• Perform minor fixes such as repair of broken locks, replacing of bulbs, etc.
• Conduct weekly checks on facilities and report to Facilities Manager.

• Check fuel levels of generator on a weekly basis and report to the Facilities Manager.
• Run generators for 10 minutes every second week if no power outages are experienced.
• Check inverter batteries weekly.

• Ensure vehicles are washed on a weekly basis.
• Cleaning of storerooms.
• Moving of furniture and equipment when required.
• Clean and assist with the upkeep of facilities.
• Performing of other related duties as assigned by the Facilities Manager.
