Virgin Active is currently recruiting a skilled Club Maintenance Manager to oversee preventative and reactive maintenance activities while ensuring high standards of health, safety, operational efficiency, and facility performance within its Cape Town club operations.

The selected candidate will:

• Perform preventative maintenance across club infrastructure and equipment
• Maintain fitness equipment, HVAC systems, swimming pool systems, hot and cold-water systems, and plant equipment
• Conduct maintenance for saunas, steam rooms, plumbing systems, pumps, valves, and filtration systems
• Respond quickly to emergency maintenance repairs and breakdowns
• Ensure all maintenance tasks align with Virgin Active policies and procedures

Key responsibilities include:

• Conduct all building preventative maintenance tasks
• Monitor and improve state of repair and brand standards throughout the facility
• Coordinate contractor maintenance requests with the Club General Manager and Regional Facility Manager
• Escalate unresolved maintenance concerns when necessary
• Support smooth day-to-day club operations

Candidates with experience in electrical maintenance, facility management, technical troubleshooting, preventative maintenance planning, building systems maintenance, equipment servicing, and operations management are strongly encouraged to apply.

The Club Maintenance Manager will:
