Facilities Cleaning Technician

Our client is seeking a meticulous and dependable Facilities Cleaning Technician to join their team in Cape Town . This role is integral to maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for all employees and visitors. You will be responsible for performing a variety of cleaning tasks across different areas of our facilities, adhering to strict hygiene protocols and using specialized equipment.

• Perform daily cleaning duties, including vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and sanitizing all assigned areas.
• Maintain and clean restrooms, ensuring they are stocked with necessary supplies and remain hygienic.
• Empty trash receptacles and ensure proper disposal of waste according to company procedures.
• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment such as buffers, scrubbers, and carpet cleaners.
• Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards encountered during cleaning duties to the facilities manager.
• Assist with special cleaning projects and event setups/breakdowns as needed.

• Previous experience as a cleaner or in a similar facilities maintenance role.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and their safe handling and usage.
• Familiarity with operating various cleaning machines and tools.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision.
• Good physical condition, with the ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods.
