Senior Renewable Energy Project Manager

Our client is seeking a strategic and results-driven Senior Renewable Energy Project Manager to lead critical projects from conception to completion in Cape Town . This role is essential for expanding the company's footprint in the sustainable energy sector. You will manage all aspects of project execution, including feasibility studies, stakeholder engagement, regulatory compliance, and financial oversight. The ideal candidate is adept at navigating complex challenges and committed to delivering high-impact renewable energy solutions on time and within budget.

• Oversee the end-to-end management of renewable energy projects, including solar, wind, and potentially hydro.
• Develop and manage project plans, budgets, and resource allocation to ensure successful project delivery.
• Conduct comprehensive feasibility studies and site assessments for potential renewable energy installations.
• Manage relationships with key stakeholders, including investors, government agencies, suppliers, and local communities.
• Ensure strict adherence to environmental regulations, permits, and safety protocols throughout the project lifecycle.
• Lead and motivate multidisciplinary project teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.

• A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field; a Master's degree is a plus.
• Minimum of 7 years of project management experience, with at least 5 years specifically in the renewable energy sector .
• Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale energy projects from inception to close-out.
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., PMP, Agile) and risk management principles.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership skills, with experience managing diverse teams.
• Familiarity with South African energy policies, regulations, and grid connection requirements.
