Experience RequirementsMinimum of 5 years’ experience working within a high-volume manufacturing or production environment, demonstrating hands-on involvement in day-to-day operations.At least 2 years’ experience in a supervisory or leadership role, managing production teams, operators, or artisans.Proven ability to manage and achieve production targets, including output, efficiency, quality, and delivery deadlines.Experience in labour management, including shift planning, workforce allocation, performance monitoring, and discipline where required.Demonstrated capability in managing production workflows, coordinating resources, and ensuring smooth operations across multiple processes or departments.Strong exposure to problem-solving, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective and preventative actions within a production setting.Formal Education / Qualifications
A recognised qualification in Operations Management, Production Management, Manufacturing Management, or Industrial Engineering is essential.Advantageous Qualifications and Experience
A technical or trade qualification (e.g., mechanical, electrical, or manufacturing-related) will be a strong advantage.Previous experience in press operations, plating processes, or automated manufacturing environments will be highly beneficial.Responsibilities
Lead a hands-on shopfloor team to achieve production targets while maintaining safety, quality, cost, and performance standards.Execute daily production plans and ensure required hourly, daily, and weekly outputs are met.Maximize labour and equipment efficiency, remove bottlenecks, and implement recovery actions when performance falls short.Ensure products are manufactured to specification by enforcing the Quality Management System.Prevent defects at source while reducing scrap, rework, and maintaining full traceability.Coordinate closely with Maintenance to reduce downtime, support preventative maintenance, and promote operator care of equipment.Direct, coach, and develop employees while setting clear expectations and performance standards.Manage attendance, discipline, and ensure adequate skills coverage through training and cross-skilling.Maintain accurate control of systems and stock, including work orders, WIP, and ERP data integrity.Drive Lean manufacturing practices through strong housekeeping, 5S, visual management, and elimination of waste.Promote a culture of continuous daily improvement to enhance productivity and reduce cost.Take ownership of key performance outcomes including on-time delivery, output vs plan, OEE, labour productivity, downtime, scrap levels, safety, and audit compliance.Communicate clearly, make sound decisions, and lead fairly and firmly in a high-pressure production environment
