Junior Shift Coordinator

Our client is seeking a motivated and detail‑oriented Junior Production Supervisor to join our Production team. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about operational excellence, enjoys working in a fast‑paced FMCG environment. This role will support day to day production operations, ensure adherence to quality and safety standards and help drive continuous improvement across the department.

This role will support day to day production operations, ensure adherence to quality and safety standards and help drive continuous improvement across the department
Supervise production team to ensure daily targets, quality standards and output requirements are consistently achieved
Coordinate and monitor production activities, ensuring optimal utilisation of equipment, raw materials, packaging and labour
Ensure adherence to all food safety, quality and hygiene standards, including HACCP, GMP, CIP procedures and site-specific safety protocols
Implement and support Lean methodologies to improve productivity, reduce waste, and enhance operational efficiency
Conduct process monitoring and equipment checks to ensure smooth, uninterrupted production flow
Review and interpret production performance data, including OEE, waste levels, throughput and quality deviations
Maintain accurate production documentation
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
Schedule work activities and allocate resources to meet production plans and customer requirements
Oversee key HR functions within the production team

Minimum Requirements
Grade 12
National Diploma in Food Technology or Production Certificate
Diploma / National Certificate in Food and Beverage Packaging Operation
Team Leader / Supervisory training (essential)
3–5 years’ experience in a supervisory role
Knowledge of engineering / mechanical, material requirement planning, plant capacity and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE), product and process specific knowledge
Knowledge of microbiology, food safety legislation and cleaning processes
Familiar with quality systems, ISO standards and preventative maintenance
Problem-solving, decision-making and planning abilities
Lean manufacturing & productivity improvement techniques
