About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated Industrial Equipment Technician to join their team based in Cape Town . This role is crucial for ensuring the seamless operation of production and manufacturing machinery. You will be responsible for the installation, upkeep, and repair of a variety of industrial systems, working to prevent breakdowns and ensure maximum efficiency. • Perform scheduled maintenance, inspections, and servicing of various industrial machines and equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems to identify root causes of failures.
• Install new equipment, ensuring it is set up correctly according to specifications and manufacturer guidelines.
• Maintain an inventory of spare parts and tools, reporting any shortages or needs.
• Collaborate with production teams to minimize disruption during maintenance and repair activities.
• Ensure all work complies with health, safety, and environmental regulations.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Industrial Technician or similar role in a manufacturing or production setting.
• Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical issues, including gears, bearings, and conveyor systems.
• Experience with electrical systems, control panels, and basic wiring is required.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings, manuals, and diagnostic reports.
