Processing Plant Operator

Our client is seeking diligent and motivated Processing Plant Operators to join their team at the mineral processing facility near Upington, Northern Cape . This role involves operating and monitoring various pieces of equipment within the plant to ensure efficient and safe processing of raw materials into valuable commodities. You will be responsible for daily operational tasks, quality control checks, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

The ideal candidate will have experience in an industrial plant setting, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to following procedures and safety guidelines to contribute to the plant's productivity.

• Operate and monitor processing plant equipment, including crushers, screens, conveyors, and pumps.
• Perform routine checks on equipment to ensure proper functioning and identify potential issues.
• Adhere to strict operational procedures and safety protocols at all times.
• Collect samples for quality control testing and record process data accurately.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, participating in general housekeeping duties.

• Grade 12 (NQF Level
  4) or equivalent qualification.
• Previous experience as a plant operator in a mining, industrial, or manufacturing environment is advantageous.
• Ability to understand and follow operational procedures and safety instructions.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Physically fit and able to work shifts in a demanding plant environment.
